Members and their wives on holiday in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park at Gisborough, had a surprise pianist serenade them  during one of their pre-dinner get togethers, when Lord Gisborough (correct) took over the grand piano in  the Gisborough Hall Hotel!

They also had the experience of the North Yorks Moors Heritage Steam Railway when they travelled from Grosmont to Pickering, where they found the small Yorkshire  town decked out in 1940s war-time style with notes about black-out times, air raid shelters and rationing in every shop window.

Many of the locals were dressed in the 1940s clothes. The town has an annual 40s week-end and it draws large crowds from all over the north east.
